what to know
about me
hey i’m fawn, and i’ve dabbled in battle cat rping since 2009. i joined wco when i was but a spring chicky in april 2014, then somehow a decade went by. visit my **carrd** for more about me.
feel free to vm or drop a rp idea if you want to interact!
about what I write
✦ my characters —
- i write my characters true to who they are, and where they are in their character development. that means they can be cranky, mean, or otherwise behave badly during interactions, and it may not be triggered by something your character did or said.
- my characters will make mistakes, occasionally big or permanent ones. they’re not always going to make the “right” or morally sound choice.
- most importantly: their opinions and behavior do not reflect my own.
✦ content & themes —
- my fictional work isn’t an expression of my personal beliefs and shouldn’t be read that way. i tend to explore complexity and gritty portrayals over presenting an idealized version of things. so i may introduce & work within difficult or messy themes because i think it leads to more thoughtful, emotionally nuanced situations.
- i write what i find thought-provoking, and often that includes unhealthy dynamics, morally gray areas, uncomfortable choices, and the kind of conflict that invites unique narrative scenarios. with that in mind, i’m not oblivious to the (sometimes intensely) problematic nature of the material. if something has unsettling implications, know that i’m aware of them. i try to engage with these topics deliberately, not ignorantly.
- writing about something doesn’t mean i endorse it. please don’t confuse depiction with approval. instead, i suggest coming at it with curiosity and critical thought.
- if this is not for you, that’s okay. consider your boundaries when choosing to read or interact. i tag obvious triggers, but darker elements can unfold in subtler, more insidious ways that cannot be easily conveyed in a content warning.
✦ approach to rp —
- my writing style is casual and functional. for me, the back-and-forth of rp is more motivating than perfect wording.
- i don’t aim for polished, narrative prose. my priority is story progression, character development, and collaborative storytelling.
- stagnation lessens my drive to continue rps. please provide enough actionable material to reply to, or suggest ways to move forward with the interaction.
